Turkey and Chèvre Sandwich

A LaClare café favorite, this delightful turkey sandwich is complemented with fresh goat cheese (our Original chèvre) and cranberry aioli.

Turkey and Chevre Sandwich

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 slices rye bread
  • 2 ounces LaClare Original Goat Cheese, crumbled
  • 3 slices of turkey
  • 1 tablespoon cranberry aioli or fig preserves
  • 1 handful of spring greens

directions

  1. Place your frying pan on the counter. Butter one side of one bread slice with a 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Place bread slice, butter side down, on the frying pan. Top with crumbled goat cheese and cranberry aioli.
  2. Place turkey slices on top of cheese.
  3. Butter the second bread slice with the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Place buttered side out on top of turkey.
  4. Place the frying pan on low to medium-low heat and slowly allow the bread to brown and the cheese to melt.
  5. Once golden brown, flip the sandwich and brown the other side. Remove from pan and let rest on a plate for a few minutes.
  6. Remove bread slice on top of turkey and add spring greens. Replace bread slice, cut and serve.
