Grilled Ham and Goat Cheddar Cheese Sandwich

A classic go-to for lunch or dinner, this grilled ham and cheese comes with a Goat Cheddar twist. Keep it simple or add fresh flavor with greens, tomatoes, artichokes, or peppers.

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1/4 cup LaClare Goat Cheddar, shredded
  • 2 slices of deli ham

directions

  1. Place your frying pan on the counter. Butter one side of one bread slice with a 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Place bread slice, butter side down, on the frying pan. Top with shredded Goat Cheddar cheese.
  2. Place ham slices on top of cheese.
  3. Butter the second bread slice with the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Place butter side out on top of ham.
  4. Place the frying pan on low to medium-low heat and slowly allow the bread to brown and the cheese to melt.
  5. Once golden brown, flip the sandwich and brown the other side. Remove from pan and let rest on a plate before serving. Cut in half and serve.
